Ramsey commissioners say if you notice the town's darker than usual, it's because street lights are being repaired.
The board took to Facebook to say routine maintenance found a number of streetlamps needed replacing.
Work is currently underway with Manx Utilities to carry out the work.
But the local authority says that might mean some areas go without their usual lights for a few days.
