TT Preparation Won\'t Suffer Due to Department Restructuring Says Chief Minister
3FM spoke to the Chief Minister yesterday following the announcement of the Government’s proposal to restructure their Department’s in an effort to both save money and generate new revenue for the Island.
Looking at the online forums it would appear that the announcement has been met with apprehension across the board with some confused as to why it’s happening in the first place.
If passed by Tynwald the changes would be implemented by April.
The Chief Minister has said despite some aspects of Departments being broken up and absorbed into others it will not affect or slow down any major work currently being done.
There were concerns voiced on the forums that with the Tourism and Leisure Department being broken up preparation work for this years TT fortnight may suffer, this however is not the case says the Chief Minister.
