The Department for Enterprise has applied to keep hospitality facilities in place after Manx Grand Prix, to be used for the Food and Drink Festival's replacement.
It's applied for planning permission to keep the hospitality tent for an extra 30 days in total, saying the annual event will take place in Noble's Park from Saturday, September 19.
To comply with planning, the tent currently has to be taken down 10 days after MGP.
Business Isle of Man says keeping it in place to be used again would save considerable money.
