TT visitors who found themselves sleeping outside the Sea Terminal whilst waiting for their boat home should have found a hotel or campsite.
That's according to the Department of Infrastructure which says it is normal practice to close the facility when there are no overnight arrivals - and people were not treated poorly.
The issue has sparked a debate on Facebook after photos emerged of bikers sleeping in the doorways on Sunday evening.
According to the department there was no valid reason to keep the terminal open or staffed.
