TT ace Ian Hutchinson back in the saddle ready for racing

TT ace Ian Hutchinson is back on two wheels after being sidelined from the sport for a year following a horrific leg injury he sustained last September.

The SMR rider is back on the track for the first time today riding a modified machine, which enables him to swap cogs with his right leg.

He cemented his place in the TT history books in 2010 taking all 5 stage wins, his success was well documented in the film TT3D: Closer to the Edge.

He said his injured leg is now feeling really good and following an operation later this week he hopes to be able to return to professional competition in November, aiming to be back to his best for TT 2012.
