Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says he hasn't been involved in pay negotiations with the Island's doctors.
Dr Allinson, himself a BMA member, was replying to questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about the pay dispute with the Island's medics.
The British Medical Association had threatened to strike after balloting members - only for a pay deal to be struck at the last minute.
Dr Allinson said he hadn't been part of the negotiating process:
