The Island’s passenger watchdog says it believes children will start having to pay to go to and from school.
TravelWatch says re-introducing bus fares could be a way forward for the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure.
The department had looked at introducing bendy buses on school routes as a way of reducing costs but this has now been ruled out.
TravelWatch will discuss the issue in more depth at a public meeting on Saturday.
