Be aware of traditional con artists and not just threats online.
That's the message from Police with officers warning despite a series of fraudulent activity over the web, it isn't the only way criminals work.
The constabulary is reminding people if you receive an unexpected letter which sounds to good to be true then it's very likely it could be bogus.
Authorities have also reiterated if you suspect you've received a scam letter, e-mail, phone call or text to contact the constabulary, or Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
