More than 200 adventurers will be out in force in Ballaugh this afternoon for the inaugural Tough Mann Challenge.
The event sees competitors tackle a series of obstacles around the 10-kilometer course on Ballamoar Farm.
It's based on similar adventure events in the UK and has taken 12 months for organisers to prepare for.
Entrants will be faced with muddy pits, walls, gorse mazes and some of the most undulating terrain on the island.
Orgainses say they're already planning for next year's event and supporters are welcome to attend this afternoon from midday.
