Toilet tax changes welcomed by public

Plans to overhaul the "toilet tax" have been welcomed by the public.

If Tynwald grants approval the flat fee charge of £100 would be scrapped and people would be charged depending on the rateable value of their property. 
 
We hit the streets to ask whether or not it makes a difference to the 70 per cent of people who might pay less under new proposals.
 
Properties with a higher rate value would pay more - locals say this is a good idea, but they still don't approve of the charge in principle:
