The Office of Fair Trading is making the public aware of an important safety notice relating to various Tixylix cough and cold medicines.
Toddler, baby syrup, chesty cough and all blackcurrant medicines have been flagged up as potentially containing small pieces of plastic.
This is down to a manufacturing fault on some tamper seals.
Whilst no pieces of plastic have been found in Tixylix medicines, and the potential occurrence of this defect is very low, specific batches are being recalled as a precaution.
Consumers should return these medicines to their place of purchase for a full refund.
