The Green Party is calling for Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall to throw out potential changes to a gas exploration licence - because it would defy Tynwald.
Island-based Crogga has asked to vary its licence as it hunts for gas under the sea around the Island.
But the Green Party argues in effect that would be a new licence, going against a government policy set two years ago.
It's written to the minister asking him to respect the will of Tynwald and refuse the application.
