A JustGiving page set up to help Steve Mercer's recovery has surpassed its original target of £5,000.
The page was set up by the rider's family after he sustained serious injuries following a collision in this year's TT.
The 36-year-old was transferred to hospital in Liverpool after suffering injuries to his brain, leg, ankle, pelvis, back and neck.
His wife, Caroline had set up the fundraising page in the hopes of raising £5,000 -however, the total currently stands at £7,495.
