Just under 3,500 people ventured out to the Tower of Refuge last night.
The event, which was organised by the Douglas Development Partnership, coincided with one of the lowest tides of the year.
It was a particularly memorable night for one woman after her boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed to her at the top of the tower.
Richard Mylchreest proposed to girlfriend Sam Lindsey-Birchall – she said yes.
Donations were collected throughout the night with all money raised going towards the RNLI.
