The Department of Infrastructure says the Tholt Y Will Road will be shut today as repair work takes place.
The route will be closed until 3.30pm, when it will reopen for the weekend before closing again at 9.30am on Monday.
The department says it needs to fix problems with the hairpin corners between the Tholt Y Will car park and Sulby Dam.
On Facebook, the DOI says access to properties in the valley will be via Sulby.
