After emergency services were called out to a fire in the early hours, drivers are being urged to consider emergency vehicles when parking.
At around 3am yesterday - Fire crews responded to reports of a fire at a property on Stanley Place In Douglas - after smoke was seen coming from the back yard.
Nobody was in the property at the time - with crews there for about 2 hours extinguishing the blaze.
However, emergency service say their fire engine narrowly made it through the street, Police have since issued a £60 fixed penalty notice to the Nissan driver who almost blocked the road.
As a result, the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service is urging people to think about how they park to prevent lives from being put at risk.
