Merchant Navy Day will be marked on Island with a remembrance service for those who lost their lives at sea.
The National Service to Seafarers will take place at 7pm in Arbory Church on Thursday, September 3.
It's open to the public, with everyone invited to attend.
Organisers say the event will also serve to recognise the contribution seafarers make to the Island and the world.
