Thieves Steal and Set Off Dangerous Flares
Police are investigating the theft and subsequent use of four red maritime flares from a cabin at the Golf Links in Derbyhaven.
It's though the theft took place between 3pm on Wednesday 20th January and 10am Friday 22nd.
They were taken from a boat at the side of a hut in the area, some of the four flares were discharged in the area a short time later.
In response the Police have said they take a very dim view of false distress calls and are keen to catch those involved so anyone with information is urged to come forward.
