The Silver Line could launch a regular meet-up for older people on the Isle of Man.
Island chairman of the charity, Doug Stewart, says if he can’t find an appropriate venue for 'The Silver Circle', he’s willing to hold it in his own home.
Manx residents are calling the befriending service more often than in the UK.
Mr Stewart says founder Esther Rantzen and chief executive Sophie Andrews came up with the idea, which could help many overcome loneliness:
