The Department for Enterprise says it hasn't spent taxpayers' cash on a new board for the hospitality industry.
A Freedom of Information request asked how much the Hospitality Board had cost since it was set up last September after calls from the industry.
In its response, the department says all board members are unpaid volunteers and no money has been spent on the body.
However, it says three meetings have seen more than five hours of work and up to three members of DfE staff have been at meetings.
