A scheme running next week will encourage electric blanket users to have their product tested to ensure they do not pose a fire risk.
The free safety checks have become an annual initiative, organised by the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service.
Faulty electric blankets are responsible for hundreds of household fires in the British Isles each year, resulting in property damage and personal injury.
They’ll be held from Wednesday kicking off at the Castletown Civic Centre between 10am and 4pm.
