Tesco set for July opening

The new supermarket which is going to be located in the Callow’s Yard complex was originally due to open at the start of this year. 

However a number of things have pushed this opening date back including the need to apply for a license to sell alcohol – something which Tesco will do in court on April 19th. 

Speaking to 3FM Matt Magee, Tesco’s corporate affairs manager, said there were still a few "minor issues” to sort out but a summer opening was planned:
