The Treasury Minister says a temporary hike in income tax to fund healthcare may not be temporary after all.
In his last budget, Dr Alex Allinson announced a two per cent rise in the higher rate of tax to pay for health services.
But he faced questions in the House of Keys this week about when the tax rise would be reversed.
Dr Allinson said it probably wouldn't be next year:
Rapists's appeal against sentence thrown out
Last chance to become next TT's charity partner
No gas price hike after regulator review
Cafe hits back after staff abused
Online appointments being considered by sexual health clinic
Treasury can’t say how much is made from medicinal cannabis
Road closures planned for tin baths this weekend
