The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service is reminding residents to notify them if conducting controlled fires.
Officers posted to social media to say they had recently attended a number of these, due to the Emergency Services Joint Control Room not being informed of burns taking place.
If you are planning a controlled burn remember to contact the Emergency Services Joint Control Room, (697327) ensure the burn is controlled and not likely to spread, have a form of extinguishing material and put thought into the location and smoke drift.
