A teenager biker from Onchan has been slapped with six penalty points after crashing into his friend.
19-year-old Alex Walter Carter, of Central Drive, hit the other man’s motorbike at Governor’s Roundabout on May 8 th .
At Douglas Courthouse on Thursday he admitted driving without due care and attention.
Both men were taken to Noble’s Hospital following the crash although they suffered no serious injuries.
Carter later told police the incident had been his fault as he hadn’t been paying close enough attention.
Sentencing Carter Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes told him: "It was a momentary lack of attention - you must learn from your mistakes moving forward."
She fined him £400 and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £50.
