A deal over pay for Manx teachers is being described as a 'historic achievement'.
The comments from the National Education Union (NEU) come after the organisation agreed a deal in principle with the Department of Education and Manx Industrial Relations Service (MIRS) earlier this week.
NEU members will now consider the proposals.
If approved, it would see its members move to the London Fringe Area pay range from September 1 and the starting salary for new teachers rise from just over £24,000 to around £30,000.
