Government has extended the deadlines for submitting tax returns.
Officials say the move comes as a result of recognising the challenges residents and businesses may be facing during the current circuit-break lockdown.
It means anyone who had to submit returns for the year ending April 5, 2020 on the original deadline of April 6 this year will now have until May 5 to do so without receiving any penalty.
For companies, first penalties will not currently be issued for the non-submission of any company tax returns still outstanding and due to be submitted between March 22 and May 4 as the filing date for these has also been extended to May 5.
Meanwhile, second penalties won't be given for late submission of any company tax returns still outstanding that would be liable to the second penalty between March 22 and May 4 - these must also been submitted by May 5.
Elsewhere, the processing of requests for Retirement Pension forecasting has been suspended until further notice.
Government public counters remain closed but anyone with questions around tax affairs can contact the Income Tax Division directly by calling 685 400.
