A group of conservation organisations are calling for the Island Games to drop the Faroe Islands as the event's host over the slaughter of hundreds of pilot whales and dolphins.
Beyond the Grind, Seaspiracy, Sea Shepherd and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society are asking people to write to the Island Games Association about the annual Faroese Grindadrap.
It says the killing of marine life is deeply disturbing to many and sends the message the sporting event turns a blind eye to cruelty.
The Isle of Man will compete at the games in July 2027, and a total of 14 sports have been announced for the event.
