A man who attacked an off-duty police officer has been re-sentenced for a string of offences-he was on probation for at the time.
Kieran Michael Cain of Hazel Close in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 23-year-old admitted assault and being drunk and disorderly on Glencrutchery Road on October 24 last year.
A previous hearing was told he'd attacked the officer, punching him and spitting at him after he tried to stop him hurling gravel at traffic.
The court heard he'd previously been handed probation orders after assaulting a man in Glen Falcon Gardens last August and smashing 12 windows and threatening to slit a police officer's throat last December - he was drunk on both occasions.
Mrs Hughes discharged the probation orders and jailed Cain for a total of 26 weeks, suspended for two years, as well as banning him from entering licensed premises or buying alcohol for two years.
He was also ordered to pay £50 costs and £150 compensation to the officer he'd assaulted.
