A suspected unexploded ordnance was found in a garden in Ramsey yesterday morning.
Police have confirmed to 3FM that specialist officers are travelling to the Island from the UK to dispose of the device.
A number of road closures were put in place in the area of Bowring Road and Coburg Road yesterday following the discovery.
Police reassure there is no risk to members of the public, and a reduced safety cordon will be maintained until the specialist officers arrive.
