Up to five weeks of surveys are set to start on a proposed offshore windfarm site.
The seabed data collection will take place off Maughold Head, an area leased to Orsted by the government.
The organisation says this development follows positive feedback for the Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm during community events held last year.
It adds that extensive consultation and assessment phases are planned for this year, with a planning application to be submitted in 2025.
