Surge of interest in heart screening weekend

The Craig's Heartstrong Foundation will be holding one of their twice yearly heart screening initiatives this weekend.

By chance it comes at a time when heart related illness is at the forefront of everyone's mind following what happened to Bolton footballer Fabrice Muamba last weekend.

Muamba suffered a heart attack in front of 36,000 fans and a watching TV audience. He very nearly died had it not been for the efforts of the pitch side medics, and treatment he's received at the London Chest Hospital.

Paula Lunt is the secretary of the Craig's Heartstrong Foundation, she said although tragic it has helped significantly raise the profile of their plight.
