The leader of the Liberal Vannin Party says common sense has prevailed in the row over introducing tuition fees.
Peter Karran says he’s pleased that a vote on the issue has been deferred until next month.
It was after revised plans were put to Members in Tuesday’s Tynwald sitting which they felt they hadn’t had enough time to consider.
Mr Karran, who opposes bringing in the fees, submitted a petition on behalf of two students in Tynwald on Tuesday.
He says the deferment is down to the students themselves:
