Island residents who'd be interested in a career in nursing are being urged to apply for a training place this year.
The Department of Health and Social Care trains would-be nurses through the University of Chester with students staying on the Island to learn the profession.
Catherine Black, head of adult nursing, says the Isle of Man is the ideal place to learn because it provides such a range of health services.
She says nurturing home-grown talent is extremely important:
