Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says struggling families may be able to ease financial worries with benefits.
In the House of Keys this week, he faced questions from Arbory, Malew and Castletown MHK Jason Moorhouse.
He wanted to know what help is available to people on minimum wage who work long hours and so don't necessarily qualify for help.
