Steam trains to start commuter service for duration of TT fortnight

The daily steam trains will be getting the commuters into Douglas in time for the start of the working day at 8.45am.

In an effort to ease congestion on the roads throughout the TT fortnight a commuter train service will begin running on Tuesday, carrying residents from the south, to Douglas.

The daily steam trains will be getting the commuters into Douglas in time for the start of the working day at 8.45am.

The ticket prices will remain the same as a bus fare travelling the same distance, it’s also hoped the extra services will ease some of the strain on the buses.

The trains will be running from Tuesday to Friday of the week ahead, then Monday till Thursday throughout race week.
