The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company says it's sorry after cancelling today's Manannan sailings.
The Manannan had to return to Douglas this morning because of a generator fault, making it unsafe to enter Liverpool port.
Passengers were transferred to the Manxman to allow repairs to be carried out.
The Steam Packet says it will issue an update at 1pm on the status of this afternoon's 3pm sailing, Thursday, August 7, from Douglas to Liverpool.
