Works Taking Longer than Anticipated on Two Fastcraft Vessels
The Steam Packet have given an update on their two vessels that are currently operating at slower speeds until mechanical issues are taken care of.
Passengers travelling on the Manannan and Snaefell fastcraft will be experiencing the slower crossing times until October.
It now means that the Liverpool crossing will continue to take 3 hours instead of the usual two and a half.
It was originally hoped that the works could be carried out whilst the boats were still in operation, it’s now apparent that this can only happen on the Snaefell, the Manannan will have to be worked on in a workshop.
It’s hoped the works on the Snaefell can be carried out in the relative quiet period after the busy Summer Holiday season.
