Medics Enticed to Island Over TT and MGP with Reduced Fare
The Steam Packet have launched an initiative geared toward enticing paramedics over for the TT and Manx Grand Prix.
In partnership with the Department of Tourism and Leisure the Steam Packet will be offering reduced fares to medics, in an attempt to get them over for the biking events.
A paramedic paying a ferry fare of £200 or less will be able to claim back half of that.
A stipulation however is that they must be
coming to both the TT and the MGP to be eligible for the reduction.
It’s hoped the scheme will increase the presence of medically trained people on the Island at what is traditionally a busy time, with increased risk of accident.
