Should the Steam Packet Company stop being a government-owned company and become a statutory board like Manx Utilities instead?
That's one of the suggestions from a Tynwald committee looking into how the operator is regulated on the Island.
It says the Council of Ministers should consider the practicalities making the Steam Packet Company a statutory board and report back by the end of this year.
The Select Committee on the Regulation of the Steam Packet Company report will be discussed during the court's April sitting next week.
