Sir Mark Cavendish has waved the flag to officially open the Le Mans 24 hour race in France.
The cyclist joins other famous names who've had the honour of starting the famous motorsport event, including Roger Federer and LeBron James.
Race officials describe the Tour De France record holder as having inspired a generation of cyclists, and being particularly fond of France where he won many stages.
Cavendish was later seen handing out medals to drivers.
