A man who admitted doing 53mph in a 30 zone has told a court he was in a hurry to drop off marshals before roads closed for the Festival of Motorcycling.
Terence Henry Holmes of Cushag Road in Anagh Coar admitted speeding via coroner's admission this week.
Douglas Magistrates heard the 66 year old was caught by a police speed check at Sulby Bridge on Tuesday, August 29.
Holmes was fined £230, ordered to pay £50 costs and given five points on his driving license.
