A man who undertook a vehicle, only to discover it was an unmarked police car, has been fined.
36 year old farmer William Douglas Duggan of Grenaby Road in Ballasalla appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted speeding after police clocked him doing 70 in a 50 zone in his Audi A3 between Douglas and Santon in July.
When stopped, he said he'd put his foot down because he was taking dinner home.
He was fined £250, had five points put on his licence and was ordered to pay £50 prosecution costs.
