A new education facility for people with special needs is being described as a 'centre for excellence'.
The post-16 unit at the Isle of Man College started being used in September but will be formally opened next month. The Annie Gill building is a two-storey development which accommodates students with profound and multiple learning difficulties so that they can access further education.
Before it was built the college’s layout meant it could only accommodate students with moderate learning difficulties and disabilities.
Acting principal Ian Sheard says the £1.9 million development is a landmark:
Number of police searches rises by nearly 37 percent
