It's set to be recommended that the Southern Swimming Pool should close from the end of March on financial grounds.
The facility has only just re-opened after closing for a brief period due to safety concerns.
The recommendation comes following a meeting between the Board, Manx Sports and Recreation and members of the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.
The decision will be made in February's sitting of Tynwald.
The pool's Board says it hopes the southern MHKs will support it to remain open and suggests an emergency meeting of the southern local authorities be held.
