Police are asking people to refrain from speculating on social media after a child was assaulted at the weekend.
The incident happened at the Manx Museum in Douglas on Saturday, and was discussed on Facebook.
Officers say a man has now been arrested and they're working with museum management to make sure children are safe.
They're appealing to people not to speculate on social media because of the nature of the investigation.
