Thie Gennal in Surby has housed three individuals over the past few years.
A home that currently caters for three young adults in care will be decommissioned in September of this year.
Thie Gennal in Surby has housed the individuals over the past few years.
The decision was reached after the Department of Social Care had been looking into ways of making use of limited resources, particularly in view of the current financial climate and the increasing demand for services.
The Department will now work alongside St Christopher’s to ensure the relocation process for the individuals is a smooth transition.
They will also be working together to find alternative employment for the members of staff affected by the decision.
Minister Martyn Quayle has said the move will now free up valuable resources.
