Social attitudes survey to impact policy making

Social attitudes are being collated by government to shape its approach to policy making.

The results will also compare the Island to other jurisdictions.

Residents are asked to participate in a 78 question survey conducted by an external independent research firm appointed by the Cabinet Office.

It’ll cover things like the use of media, community and politics and sports and leisure to compare it with answers from a survey undertaken in 2002.

The information will join conclusions made in the national census.

Anyone looking to take part can visit  http://survey.islandglobalresearch.com/s3/IOMSocialAttitudesSurvey-2016, or ask for a paper copy at the Government Office in Douglas.
