Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow tonight.
Forecasters say the warning runs from 6pm today (New Year's Day) until midday on Friday.
They say initially, wintry showers will affect mostly high ground above 800 feet - but by 5am on Friday that'll lower to areas around 300 feet.
The south of the Island is expected to be worst-hit, although hail showers could bring icy conditions on roads elsewhere.
