An MHK will be asking Tynwald to protect the Island from the UK's 'Snooper's Charter'.
Ramsey representative Lawrie Hooper will ask the Policy and Reform Minister whether the UK's Investigatory Powers Act 2016 will be extended to the Isle of Man.
The Bill legitimises the security services' surveillance powers and adds checks on their ability to gather information about the public without permission.
Mr Hooper says he thinks the act goes 'very much too far' and wants to know if the government has any interest in using it:
